‘DOING DONUTS’ LEADS TO DRUG ARRESTS

Brenham police officers answering a call of someone ‘doing donuts’ in the parking lot of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Saturday morning ended up making two arrests of drug charges.

Lt. Billy Rich says the officers were called to the scene at 10:28 because of the complaints of a car spinning its wheels in the parking lot, a practice called ‘doing donuts.’

The car drove away but officers were able to find the car at East Commerce and Church.

When the officers approached the car they could smell a strong odor of marijuana prompting a probable cause search.

The search found a small amount of marijuana and a pill for a prescription anxiety  medication.  There was also some beer in the car.

Nineteen year old Michella Dunlop was cited for minor in possession of alcohol and arrested for the misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substances.

Also arrested was 19-year old Anrea Kellam f Brenham for misdemeanor marijuana possession.
