BURLGARY SUSPECT BUSTED

A 44-year old Chappell Hill man is facing building burglary charges in a break in that happened last week.
Melvin Jackson Jr.,was charged in the night time burglary at a business on Highway 290 west. The burglary occurred on July 9th. Sheriff Otto Hanak said Jackson damaged the building as well. Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Whidden investigated the case. Jackson is being held in the Washington County jail under a $25,000 bond.
Two juveniles were arrested after being suspected in the multiple burglaries just off FM 50. Deputy Jason Barnett was able to identify the boys along with locating and seizing the property taken during two of the burglaries. . Both juveniles were released to their parents.
