SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
A Houston man has been sentenced to nearly a year-and-a-half behind bars on a theft charge.
25-year old Brandon Lloyd Clay was sentenced to 486 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to Theft Between 1500-and-20,000 dollars.
The case was from October of 2011.
Also in 21st District Court this week:
24-year old Lakendrea Noel Holmes of Caldwell was sentenced to a year in jail after she pleaded guilty to a theft charge.
Holmes was charged with Theft Between 1500-and-20,000 dollars for an offense that occurred in July of 2012.
50-year old Donald O’Neal Armstead of Brenham was placed on four years probation and fined $1500 for Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also ordered to perform 160 hours of community service and undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment.
25-year old Jacorey Odu of Austin was placed on four years probation and fined $1000 for Theft of Less than $1500, with two Previous Convictions.
20-year old Kelsey Blair Arnold was sentenced to three years probation and fined $1000 for Theft between $1500-and-$20,000.
And, 19-year old Travis Colby Gurka of Brenham was sentenced to two years probation and fined $1500 for Possession of Marijuana.
Probation for theft. I k now someone who had a lawyer was first time offender 18 years old and was only at the scene with someone else and be got two years prison time.
Probation for theft with 2 previous convictions? And we wonder why Washington County is experiencing a crime spree…
