EARLY VOTING BRISK THIS WEEKEND
Early voting this past Thanksgiving weekend was very busy, according to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel.
Rothermel reports that 306 voters came to vote on Saturday and 245 came to vote on Sunday.
Rothermel reminds people that it is too late to apply for a Ballot by Mail, but if there is a voter who is physically unable to enter the polling place, curbside voting will be offered to that voter.
If a voter has received a Ballot by Mail already, they are encouraged to mail it back as soon as possible.
By Texas law, ballots by mail must be mailed back in, and cannot be delivered in person.
Early voting continues today and Tuesday from 8am to 5pm.
