BURTON RANKED AMONG TOP-100 TEXAS HIGH SCHOOLS

  

Burton has been ranked among the top 100 public high school in Texas.

The group “Best Public High Schools” ranks Texas high schools based on dozens of statistics and over 4-and-a-half million opinions from over 280,000 students and parents.

The study says a high ranking indicates that the school is considered an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students.

Burton High School ranked #78, receiving grades of “A” for teachers, resources & facilities, and extracurriculars & activities.  They received an “A-” grade for academics, health & safety, student culture and sports & fitness.  Burton received and overall grade of “A”.

The only other area school ranked in the Top-100 is A&M Consolidated in College Station at #69.

Brenham High School ranked 350th in Texas, with an overall B+ rating.  The school received an “A” for educational outcomes and student culture & diversity.  Brenham was given a grade of “B+” for both academics and sports & fitness.

The top-ranked high school in Texas is Austin Westlake, followed in order by: Austin Liberal Arts & Sciences, Dallas School for Talented & Gifted, Science Academy of South Texas in Mercedes, and Plano West.
