BRAZOS VALLEY CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OPENS IN NEW LOCATION

The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley has a new home, and is ready for children to come and explore the new and expanded interactive learning area.

The new location 10,000 square foot museum is located at the Carter Creek Center on East 29th Street, moving from its downtown location.

The museum was located in downtown Bryan for nearly two decades in the old city hall building, and consisted of two levels. The site is now set for redevelopment.

The new location now is closer to College Station with more space for nine exhibits, allowing parents with more than one child to be better able to keep an eye on them.

Among the new exhibits at the museum are a coliseum-themed area for story time and a school field trip orientations, as well as places to read and a spaceship that the kids can play in.

The museum is open Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 5pm, and again from December 29-December 31, where the children can attend the annual Rockin’ Noon Year’s Eve party complete with ball drop.

For more information, visit the museum’s website at cmbv.org or call 979-779-5437.
