Brenham FD report

  

On Monday at 3:34 pm, The Brenham Fire Department responded to 623 Clinton St. for a fire investigation.

Upon arrival BFD found that the resident had a small fire on the stove and had already extinguished the fire prior to BFD’s arrival.  BFD searched the area to make the sure the fire did not extend into the walls or attic area and removed light smoke from the structure.  The fire was contained to the stove area including the vent hood and some cabinets.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Also on Monday at 9:26 pm, BFD responded to 604 Pleasantview Ave. for possible electric issues inside a residence.

Upon arrival and after investigation, BFD was advised by the resident that the gas heater was making noise.  BFD checked out the heater and did not find anything wrong with it and it was burning clean.

BFD advised the resident to have a maintenance person check it out just to make sure and clean the unit.
