BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATE THEFT

  

Brenham Police are investigating a theft from a man collecting charitable contributions.

Tuesday, just before noon, Officer Ashley Burns was called to a store in the 1100 block of N. Park Street in reference to a theft.

At the scene, she met with the caller who said he had left a fund raiser jar at the business to raise money for his wife’s medical needs.

He returned Sunday evening to check on the jar and it was gone.

Store employees told Burns they thought the victim had picked it up.

The jar had over $100 in it.

The case is under investigation.
