ONE PERSON ARRESTED AFTER REPORTED RECKLESS DRIVING

One person was arrested after reportedly driving recklessly on Highway 290.
Cpl. Justin Schiller responded to a call of a reckless driver on the 290 feeder road headed east on Friday, around 11:12 am.
He located the vehicle in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. Cpl. Todd Ashorn had arrived just prior to Schiller.
The driver, twenty-six year old Tommy Joe Farrell, of Brenham, was nervous and his speech and response time were slow. The driver told both officers that his brother had left methamphetamine in the center console.
Both the car and the subject were searched during which methamphetamine, marijuana and an Alprazolam tablet were found.
Farrell was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance under 28 grams.
