BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT FOR TUESDAY
On Monday, around 2:00pm, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 2448 Becker Dr. for an outside rubbish fire. Upon arrival BFD found the droppings in the curb smoldering. BFD extinguished the small smoldering fires and damage was contained to curb.
On Monday, around 3:48pm, BFD responded to 2007 Old Chappell Hill Rd for a wash-down for a substance in the roadway. Upon arrival BFD found a slimy substance on the roadway and used water to attempt to wash it off the roadway. The Street Department also put sand on the spill to help prevent vehicle crashes. There was no vehicle around to determine where the substance came from.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to S. Day St. and W. Stone St. for an outside rubbish fire on Monday, around 5:00pm. Upon arrival BFD found the droppings in the curb smoldering. BFD extinguished the small smoldering fires and damage was contained to curb.
BFD responded to 1603 Westwind Dr. for a report structure fire on Monday, around 6:35pm. Upon arrival and after investigation BFD found that the dryer plug had malfunction causing a small amount heat around the plug. The resident had unplugged the dryer and turned off the breaker before BFD’s arrival. BFD removed the plug and part of the wall to search for any extension but none was found. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
No one was injured.
