HODDE BUSINESS CENTER TO OFFER COMPUTER COURSES TO HELP JOB SEEKERS

Blinn College’s A.W. Hodde, Jr. Technical Education Center is offering local job seekers a variety of computer courses that teach everything from computer basics to the finer points of Microsoft Office.

Classes begin as early as Monday, June 8, with new courses beginning every few weeks.  Prospective students can register by visiting the Hodde Center, located at 2910 S. Blue Bell Road in Brenham, during regular business hours.

Megan Costanza, dean of Workforce Education, tells about computer classes being offered to those who need resumes, as well as need to update their computer skills, or need to learn the basics of using a computer.

Small business owners can enroll their employees in Hodde Center courses for free using Texas Workforce Commission Skills for Small Business Funds, and Hodde Center staff can help businesses complete the request form. For more information, visit: www.twc.state.tx.us/businesses/skills-small-business-employers.

Costanza also discusses the Small Business Grants being offered.
