BURGLARIES UNDER INVESTIGATION

Brenham Police are investigating a trio of burglaries that were reported Sunday.

Sunday afternoon, Cpl. Jared Campbell was called out to the 800 block of Crockett St. to the burglary of a habitation.

The caller said he had left his residence on July 4 and when he returned on Sunday they found their home burglarized.

Taken were a television, valued at $700; an X Box gaming system, valued at $150; and a rifle valued at $700.

Less than two hours later, Cpl. Lance Weiss was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Austin.

The caller said she had left her residence on June 25 and when they returned home on July 5 they noticed an X-box gaming system was missing.

Sunday night, Sgt. Jason Derrick responded to the 2000 block of US 290 East to the burglary of a building.

The caller said one of the storage units at Brenham Self-Storage was open and the lock had been cut off.

Derrick and Officer Hunter Andras searched the property and found more storage units that had locks cut off and had been entered.

The office manager said she would contact the renters of each storage unit so they could see what was missing.

The case is under investigation.
