PROJECT BACKPACK KICKOFF TO BEGIN WEDNESDAY

It’s almost time to start thinking about back to school, and the Bankers from Bank of Brenham, Brenham National Bank and Citizens State bank will be collecting backpacks, school supplies and money for distribution throughout Brenham ISD to families and children in need.

“Project Backpack 2015” will run this year from July 15th through August 18th.

Lee Gaskamp of the Bank of Brenham gives some more information on the backpack drive:

 

Members of the Brenham ISD school board will also be helping in the collection process.

The need this year is anticipated to be greater due to the economic turndown in the community, mainly concerning the layoffs at major companies in town.
