BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Saturday at around 4:00pm, the Brenham Fire Department responded to the County Line and State Highway 290 E for a transportation Incident with entrapment.

FD units made location and discovered that no one was trapped. FD units checked all vehicles for leaking fluids. None were leaking and FD units were released from scene.

On Sunday around 2pm, the Brenham Fire Department, responded to 700 Medical Parkway, Scott and White Hospital for a report of smoke in the building.

Fire Department units arrived and were advised by hospital security that there was smoke in the lab area. FD units checked the lab and other area around the lab and could not find the source of the smoke.

A Second crew checked the AC units on the roof and discovered that an AC unit had a bearing that was out causing the smoke. No damage to the structure.

Also on Sunday around 2:30pm, the fire department was  dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at 400 East Sayles.  Fire department was cancelled enroute.

And around 10:45pm Sunday night, the FD was dispatched for a smoke investigation at 2475 South Chappell Hill St (Oaks Apartments).

Fire personnel found a wall outlet had shorted out. No fire or smoke in apartment.

Fire personnel shut off breaker to outlet and advised occupant to contact their maintenance and have outlet replaced and wiring checked.  No other action taken
