BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Tuesday around 7:15am, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 203 US Highway 290 W. at Walmart, for a possible structure fire.

Upon arrival BFD found that the customers of the store were evacuated and BFD members were met by store employees.

After investigation, BFD found a light in the produce section had malfunctioned causing minor sparking and smoke.

BFD members advised Walmart officials to turn off the power to the light and have an electrician maintenance the light

 

Then at 9:15am, the BFD responded to 2801 Woodridge Blvd for an automatic fire alarm.While en route alarm company called to cancel due to an alarm malfunction.

 

At 9:45am, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 2831 S. Market St., Super 8 Motel, for an automatic fire alarm.  While en route the alarm company called to cancel the alarm.

 

Then at 10:00am, BFD responded to 1708 Dempsey St. to assist the City of Brenham with a possible Carbon Monoxide incident inside a resident.

BFD used detection equipment to assist the Gas Department to look for CO.
