BUSY GRAND JURY INDICTS KURTZ MURDER SUSPECT

One of the suspects in the 2014 murder of Blinn student Trey Kurtz has been indicted in the latest session of the 21st District Grand Jury.
The Grand Jury returned a Capital Murder incitement against 18-year old Michael Charles Dixon Jr. of Brenham. Dixon is one of three people who have been charged with Kurtz’ murder, October 30, 2014.
Two others have been arrested and charged in the case. Both were 16 at the time of the murder and are considered juveniles.

Also indicted this week is one of four men arrested as part of an undercover “sting” operation. 32-year old Austin Lyman Bishop of Austin was arrested with three others back in August for Online Solicitation of a Minor – Sexual Conduct.
Bishop was arrested along with 22-year old Timmy Varela of Bellville, 24-year old Montreyle McCormick of Plano and 35-year Chad Clift of College Station.
The Texas Attorney General’s office and the Brenham Police Department coordinated the operation.
The Grand Jury also returned three indictments against 28-year old Dennis Stanley Maynard of Yoakum: Endangering a Child, Assault Family Violence—Impeding Breathing, and Continuous Family Violence.
Maynard was arrested by police from Brenham and Yoakum for two assaults that allegedly took place in Brenham, October 15 and 16.
Two indictments for Sexual Assault of a Child were returned against 45-year old Jason Wade Holle of Brenham.
Holle was arrested in September by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies after an investigation led to charges being filed.
Also indicted were:
33-year old Calvin Basey on a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
20-year old Jayden Bellinger of Brenham for Robbery.
40-year old Joshua Isaac of Brenham on two counts of Theft—Less than $1500, with Two Previous Convictions.
18-year old Victor Garcia of Brenham for Tampering with Physical Evidence.
54-year old Clarence Williams Jr. of Washington on charges of Burglary of a Building and Evading Arrest with a Prior Conviction.
33-year old Pamela Milner of Navasota for Burglary of a Building.
55-year old Johnny Michael Mathis for Third Offense—Driving While Intoxicated.
And, three people were indicted on separate charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance: 30-year old Justin Michael Krueger of Brenham; 34-year old Jody Cody Loewe of Bellville and 20-year old Brandon Sparks of Brenham.
