BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL APPOINTS MEMBERS TO CITY BOARDS
City Council approved the recommendation of two new members to city advisory boards during today’s (Thursday’s) meeting.
Darron Smith was appointed to the Park and Recreation Advisory Board for Jeff Tilley’s position.
Smith is currently employed with Brenham National Bank and is involved in volunteer and community service.
The City Council also approved the appointment of Jim Moser to the Main Street Board for Wende Frazier’s position.
Moser is the owner of Moser Community Media, LLC and manages 26 community newspapers within Texas. Moser also in involved in volunteer and community service.
Also at today’s (Thursday’s) meeting, the Brenham City Council approved a resolution providing support for HuntJon LLC’s low income housing tax credit application. HuntJon is working with the Brenham Housing Authority to construct Park Lane Villas, a low income housing development between Hosea and Bob Street near Henderson Park.
The board also approved a one year contract extension for Ambassador Higher Cleaning standards for janitorial services for a number of city buildings.
During the council’s consent agenda they approved rezoning requests for parcels of land on South Market and Clinton Streets; and a specific use permit for a multi-family development between Hosea and Bob Streets for Park Lane Villas.
