HIGH SPEED CHASE ENDS IN ARRESTS

A high speed chase on a motorcycle ended in the arrest of two people this (Wednesday) morning. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, just before 10 am Sgt. Brad Kulow attempted to stop a 2008 Suzuki Motorcycle on State Highway 36 for a traffic violation. The driver (Daniel Rosenkranz age 38), and Passenger (Amber Arellano age 22) failed to comply, and fled from Sgt. Kulow. The pursuit traveled from State Highway 36 to US-290 West towards Giddings Texas at speeds that reached over 100mph.
The pursuit continue west on US-290 until it reached the 9500 block where Rosenkranz pulled across US-290, dropped off Arellano in a private driveway where she was arrested by Burton Police Officer Greg Rollins. Rosenkranz then again sped off traveling West bound in the East bound lane of US-290. Rosenkranz traveled approximately 2 more miles, leaving the roadway and surrendering to Law Enforcement. Other Sheriff’s Officers and Texas Department of Public Troopers assisted in the pursuit by helping to divert traffic and ensure the safety of other motorist traveling on US-290.
Rosenkranz has been charged with Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (3 counts) and Evading Arrest – Felony Count. Arellano has been charged with Resisting Arrest for her actions after being dropped off by the driver.
Both were booked into the Washington County Jail
