FAYETTE COUNTY DEPUTY SEIZES $365,000

  

Around 11:45 yesterday (Thursday) Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David Smith stopped a 2007 Honda Odyssey van on Interstate 10 at mile-marker 661 for a traffic violation.  

After Smith made contact with the driver he noticed several criminal indicators and received consent for a search. During the consensual search of the vehicle several bundles of cash were found. 

Arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center were 43 year old, Myriam Estrada and her 28 year old son Erik Estrada both of Houston and charged with money laundering. 

Once the money was counted it totaled approximately $365,500.
