CITY TO ONCE-AGAIN CONSIDER BLINN VARIANCE REQUEST

The Brenham City Board of Adjustments will once-again consider a request concerning housing at Blinn College – a request they’ve already approved.

At the board’s February 8th meeting they approved a height variance request for a new $32-million housing project on the Blinn campus.

However, the board will once-again consider the request because of a self-locking door at city hall.

Officials say the meeting went longer than expected with the building’s self-locking doors activating, which meant someone who may have opposed the request could have been locked out.

City Developmental Services Coordinator Eric Smith says the item was reposted for this Monday’s meeting to make sure there are no potential conflicts.

The board meets this evening (Monday) at 5:15 at city hall.
