LONG-TIME BRENHAM RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

  

A long time business owner, 98 year old Carrie Marsh passed away on February 25th.

Carrie and her husband, Abe of 55 years moved to Brenham in 1945 and opened Marsh’s Department store in downtown Brenham where they sold women’s fashions for 52 years.

Carrie was a volunteer for the Nancy Carol Roberts public Library as well as the host program at Alton Elementary. She was a member of the Fortnightly Club for more than 50 years, life member of the Brenham Fine Arts League, and the Friendship Quilt Guild.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted by Rabbi Emeritus Jack Segal on Monday at 3:45pm at the B’nai Abraham Cemetery in Brenham.
