U.S. SBA OFFERING LOW INTEREST DISASTER LOANS
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest disaster loans to businesses, most private nonprofits, homeowners, and renters for severe storms and flooding incidents occurring May 26th. Counties able to apply are Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Fort Bend, Grimes, Hidalgo, Hood, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Travis, Waller, and Washington counties. The deadline to apply for the disaster loan for physical damage is August 10th.
There are three types of disaster loans available including, business physical, economic injury, and home disaster. There are also three credit requirements: credit history acceptable to SBA, ability to repay all loans, and collateral for physical loss and economic injury disaster loans over $25,000.
There are three ways to apply to SBA: online at www.disasterloan.sba/ela, in person at any Disaster Recovery Center, or complete a paper application and mail it to SBA at 14925 Kingsport Rd., Ft. Worth, TX 76155-2243
