What is a transportation incident? Is that the politically correct term for car crash?
Yes… apparently a very generic term… along with hazmat spill… vehicle fire… etc…. these are terms used by our wonderful Dispatch system…. when we are Dispatched to an incident….
Normally we do not know what it actually is until we arrive on scene….Hazmat could be anything from antifreeze to gasoline…. vehicle fire is anything from a lawnmower fire to an airplane crash…. structure fires are anything from a $50 outhouse to million dollar mansions…. the terms are very broad….
