BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION TO RULE ON HOUSE

  

The City of Brenham’s Building and Standards Commission will hold a meeting Wednesday of next week to consider the fate of an unoccupied house on Main Street.  The house, located at 1103 East Main, is in very poor condition with numerous holes in the roof and rotting floors.  The house was inspected in May of this year by the city and ruled unsafe for occupation.  The meeting next Wednesday will give the owner of the property a chance to explain if repairs are planned for the structure.  The meeting will be in the second floor City Council Chamber at 5:15 pm.  Final orders on the property are expected to be issued by the commission at the conclusion of the meeting.
