CITY APPROVES PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL SKATE RAMPS

  

Brenham’s Skate Park will be getting some new equipment thanks to the Brenham Community Development Corporation and Texas Parks and Wildlife.

During Thursday afternoon’s meeting, the Brenham City Council approved the purchase of 70 thousand dollars in skate park equipment, to be installed at Fireman’s Park.  Over a year ago the BCDC Board of Directors approved the use of 35 thousand dollars in tax money for additional equipment for the Skate Park.  This summer the City was awarded a matching grant of 35 thousand dollars from Texas Parks and Wildlife.  The new equipment will occupy the empty end of the old tennis court which has been converted into a Skate Park at Fireman’s Park.
