SEVEN SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Seven defendants plead guilty and were sentenced by Judge Carson Campbell in District Court this week.

Five Brenham residents were sentenced:

67-year-old Bishop Lee Davis Jr. was arrested back in January for Driving While Intoxicated. Davis was sentenced 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institution Division for the third degree felony. He will also have to serve 200 hours of community service and pay a $1,500 fine.

24-year-old Crispin Wade Contee of Brenham had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 15 months in jail for possession of a controlled substance incident that happened in September of 2014.

Christina McDonald, age 27, of Brenham was sentenced for 6 years deferred adjudication probation for organized retail theft, which is a third-degree felony. She was also fined $700.

Zoraida Carter, 52, of Brenham was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation and a $1000 fine for credit/debit card abuse. Carter was also sentenced to 150 hours of community service.

Christopher Butler, age 22, Brenham, Texas was sentenced to 2 years deferred adjudication probation for possession of a controlled Substance. He will also have to pay a $2,000 fee. And perform 120 hours of community service.

Also in the 21st District Court:

Farah Ramon, age 22, of Bellville was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation and a $1,500 fine for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Ramon will have to serve 150 hours of community service. Ramon was also sentenced to 2 years deferred adjudication for Possession of Marijuana 4-5 oz.

Michael Deante Savere, 20, of Pflugerville had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 8 months in jail for possession of marijuana 4-5 oz. He will also have to pay $2,000 in fines.
