BRYAN MAN SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS

  

A Bryan man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for violating conditions of his bond in a family violence case.

Quincy Burleson was arrested in October 2015 after police responded to the home of Burleson’s girlfriend, who claimed Burleson punched her in the face and pulled her hair while high on PCP. Burleson fled from the home before police arrived, but was stopped a short distance away by College Station police.

After his arrest, he was ordered not to have any contact with the victim and not to violate the law while on bond. However, on April 4, 2016 witnesses called police after they saw Burleson drag the victim from the vehicle she was driving and punch her in the face.

In addition to the thirty year sentence for Violation of Bond Conditions, Burleson received two thirty year sentences for Assault Family Violence with a Prior Conviction, a maximum twenty year sentence for Interference with an Emergency Call with a prior conviction, and a maximum twenty year sentence for Possession of PCP.
