The 2016 edition of the Brenham Cubs football team got its first taste of competition Friday morning as they faced fourth-ranked Manvel in their first scrimmage of the year.

The Cubs will scrimmage at Round Rock Westwood next Friday morning, then open the season Friday night, August 26th at home to Houston Westside.
