BLINN COLLEGE FEATURED IN MAGAZINE

  

Blinn College has been featured in a state-wide magazine publication.

The Texas Co-op Power magazine’s Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative Edition included a five page spread on the college.

The article highlights Blinn’s top-notch academics and athletics, delving into some impressive statistics about the school. According to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, more than 39 percent of Blinn students go on to transfer to upper divisions of various four year universities and colleges. That statistic puts Blinn at one of the highest transfer rates in the nation.

In addition, about 38 percent of the student body on the Brenham campus moved from another city or state to attend the school. The article touches on Blinn’s strong academic programs that draw in students, as well as the successful and popular sports programs at the college. The baseball team has been to the National Junior College Athletic Association playoffs seven times. The college was also brought to national attention surrounding the 2016 NFL Super Bowl. Heisman Trophy winner, Cam Newton, played football for Blinn.
