CELEBRATION OF HOPE DINNER TONIGHT

  

The Brazos Valley Food Bank will hold its Celebration of Hope Dinner today (Tuesday).

The dinner will be a “raise the paddle” event, where all proceeds will be put towards purchasing a new refrigerated truck for the food bank. The new truck will allow more food to be efficiently distributed throughout the Brazos Valley.

The event will honor the food bank’s Medal of Hope recipients. This year’s recipients are long-time volunteers Clarence and Viola Vitopil and Bud and Beverly Myers. For the past two years, the Brazos Valley Food Bank has awarded a person or organization with the medal in recognition of outstanding work towards ending hunger.

The dinner will also feature Kelly Bond-White, the Associate Head Coach of Texas A&M University women’s basketball team, as they keynote speaker.
