PARADE KICKS OFF WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR
The 148th edition of the Washington County Fair is underway.
The oldest county fair in Texas kicked off Saturday morning as the annual fair parade wound through downtown Brenham.
Fifty-three entries made their way along the parade route cheered on by hundreds of on-lookers.
The lineup included the four candidates for Fair Queen: Holli Baker, Alexis Chaudron, Carli Conway and Indigo Podeszwa.
The queen will be crowned Saturday night at the fairgrounds, live on KWH and kwhi.com.
The week’s entertainment also kicks off Saturday night, featuring: Abigail Taylor, Old Southern Moonshine Revival and Kevin Fowler.
The fair continues through next Saturday night.
