BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET TODAY
The Burton Independent School District Board of Trustees will discuss a Joint Election Agreement during their meeting today (Monday).
The Burton school district is seeking voter approval to issue $18 million in bonds to help fund facility improvements. The bond election will take place on a November 8th, the same day as the general election. Because the two elections will be held on the same day, a Joint Election Agreement must be entered into by Washington County and Burton ISD.
The Board of Trustees will also consider changing the age requirements for Senior Citizen Passes; discuss making October “School Priority Month”; and consider the appointment of election officials.
The Burton School Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Administration Office located at 701 North Railroad Street in Burton.
