During their meeting on Tuesday, the Washington County Commissioners proclaimed October 2nd through the 8th as Texas Extension Education Association Week.

Washington County Commissioners meet with TEEA members to declare October 2nd through the 8th as "Texas Extension Education Week"

The mission of the Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA) is to work with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to strengthen and enrich families through educational programs, leadership development, and community service.

There are currently 70 members of the TEEA who are active in the community providing educational programs and volunteering their time. Washington County currently has five Extension Education Association Clubs:

TEEA Council Meetings: 1st Monday at 12 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office

After 5: 4th Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Nancy Carol Roberts Library or home of member

Greenvine: 1st Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Greenvine Baptist Church

Lunch & Learn: 4th Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the Sons of Herman Meeting Room.

William Penn: 3rd Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church
