BLINN RECEIVES GRANT TO TRAIN 95 WORKERS

  

Blinn College has partnered with Kaemark, Inc. to provide job training for 95 people using a state grant. blinn-college-copy

The Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission totals $221,699.  It will be used to provide customized training with a focus on industry-related topics such as carpentry, cabinet design, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics and pneumatics and manufacturing safety. Trainees will include information technology staff, commercial designers, assemblers, upholsterers, sewists, machine operators, inspectors and painters.

Kaemark is a Giddings based company that manufactures dryer and hydraulic chairs, styling stations, reception desks, retail displays and accessories.
