DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CANDLELIGHT VIGIL TONIGHT

  

The 15th Annual Candlelight Vigil for victims of domestic violence will be held tonight (Thursday) in Brenham.

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Washington County Victim’s Task Force and Focusing Families is holding the vigil.

According to representatives from the task force, there were more than 185,000 family violence incidences in Texas last year. In the United States, one in three women and one in four men will be victims of some form of physical violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

The vigil will take place at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church PAC Center, located at 701 Church Road in Brenham.
