VETERANS DAY PROGRAM AT FIREMAN’S PARK TAKING PLACE THIS FRIDAY

  

The community is invited to come out this Friday and honor the men and women who have served this country in the military during the annual Veterans Day Program.FOURTH FLAG

The Veterans Day Program will take place at Fireman’s Park at 11 a.m. Gerry Hince will be the keynote speaker.

Hince is an Army veteran, having served 21 years active duty and 10 years in the reserves. Her assignments included: Command Information Officer 18th Airborne Corps; Platoon Officer; Company Commander; Personnel Staff Office; Civil Affairs Officer; Ballistic Missile Budget Officer; and Commandant of the Inspector General School.

Hince is the recipient of a MSM and Legion of Merit Award. She is also a Jefferson Award Winner and the recipient of Congressman Flores' Veteran of the Year Award.

KWHI will broadcast the event starting at 10:45 a.m.

In addition, James F. Dillion VFW Post 7104 will host a Veterans Day breakfast on Friday. Doors will open at 6:15 a.m. and breakfast will be served at 7:00. All veterans and spouses, as well as friends of veterans are invited.
