VFW TO HOLD PEARL HARBOR DAY EVENT
The VFW Post 7104 in Brenham will hold a special event on December 7th to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day.
Sr. Vice Commander Ben Seeker says it is an important time to remember those who served in World War II:
Doors will open at 7:00 a.m. and a brief program will begin at 7:30 a.m. A moment of silence will be held at 7:48- the time in Hawaii on Dec 7, 1941 when the first bomb was dropped from Japanese aircraft.
Following the moment of silence, Taps will be played in honor of the 2,403 American military personnel killed in the attack.
The event is open to the public. The post is located at 1200 East Tom Green.
