HOLIDAY HOOPS AND TOY DRIVE HAPPENING THIS SATURDAY

  

A local event aims to combine two passions for a good cause this weekend in Brenham.

Holiday Hoops and Toy Drive is a three on three basketball tournament and fundraiser sponsored by Brenham Community Education and the Great Give Back of Brenham.

Event organizer, Rarren Buchanan, says he’s a student at Sam Houston State University with ties to the Brenham community:

The event is happening this Saturday at the Brenham ISD Rock Gym. The deadline to sign up is tomorrow (Wednesday). Registration is $50 per team. Ages 14 and up and both genders are welcome to play. There will also be musical entertainment by DJ Adonis. The entry fee for children is $2 (or $1 with donation of a toy). Entry for adults is $5 (or $4 with a toy donation).

All proceeds will go towards families in need within the Brenham area during the Christmas holiday. The toys collected will go to children in the Brenham community.
