NAVASOTA HOME DESTROYED IN FIRE
A Navasota home was destroyed in a fire Thursday afternoon.
Navasota firefighters responded to the home on Stoneham Street just before 3 p.m. The homeowners where inside the residence when the fire started, but no one was injured.
Investigators say a gas heater in a bed room likely caused the fire.
Navasota firefighters were joined by several other fire departments including College Station, Whitehall, South Brazos County, and Montgomery County.
