BURTON STATE BANK ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Burton State Bank recently announced changes to their Board of Directors.

After 32 years of service, Erwin C. “Buddy” Dallmeyer has retired and his son, Andrew, has been elected to fill his position.

Andrew “Andy” Dallmeyer holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant.  He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Mid-South Synergy, a six county public utility co-op headquartered in Navasota.  Previously, he was an accounting manager for ten years at Dell, Inc. in Round Rock.  Andrew resides near Brenham with his wife, Heather, and their sons Mason, Alex and Austin.

Andrew now becomes the fourth generation Dallmeyer to be elected, spanning over a century of continuous family service on the Bank’s Board of Directors.

Burton State Bank was chartered in 1906 and Andrew’s Great-grandfather, William Dallmeyer, was elected to the Board in 1911.  Upon his retirement in 1952, Erwin O. Dallmeyer, Andrew’s Grandfather, was elected to the Board.  In 1984, Erwin C. Dallmeyer became the third generation Dallmeyer to be elected as he filled the position being vacated by his father.

Erwin C. Dallmeyer is quoted as saying, “Directors are really just advisors put in place by the Shareholders to provide direction.  The real long term success of this independent, community bank has come from the continuing good work of the day to day operations staff who, for so many years, have had the bank’s, as well as our customers’,  best interests at heart.  As such, we all look forward to continued growth and beneficial service to this community.”

The changes were announced following the Annual Meeting of Shareholders held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

Other Board members include Chairman of the Board E. J. Muehlbrad, W. Dale Guelker, Robert “Bob” Whitener, Linda Conley, and Linda Blacklock.  Current officers of the Bank are President & CEO, Linda Conley; Sr. Vice President/Cashier, Linda Blacklock; Vice President & Sr. Lending Officer, Donna Kunkel; Assistant Vice President, Karra Spacek; and Assistant Cashiers Bob Whitener and Shelby Budnik.
