BRENHAM PICKLEBALL CLUB HOLDING ‘RED NOSE DAY’ EVENT

The Brenham Paddle Pusher Pickleball Club is holding a special event on Thursday to raise awareness for childhood poverty.

Pickleball- a combination of Ping-Pong, badminton, and tennis- has seen a surge of popularity in Brenham since the Brenham Paddle Pushers formed their club.

The club will hold a special tournament to bring attention to the Red Nose Day cause on Thursday.

Red Nose Day raises money for programs that ensure children in need are safe, healthy and educated. Half of Red Nose Day's grant money is spent right here in America on projects close to home. The other half will be spent in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

Pickleball Ambassador Vicki Bruce says they joined forces with Walgreens in Brenham to raise awareness during the clinic:

The event is happening at 6 p.m. at the Blinn Rock Gym.
