MAN SHOT AT TEXAS WORLD SPEEDWAY
Authorities are investigating a shooting at the Texas World Speedway during an event Saturday night.
One man was wounded during the shooting. The victim spoke with investigators while being treated for injuries at Scott and White Hospital.
The Brazos County Sheriff's office was called to the scene at 10:30 pm.
The event was organized by Four Horseman Trail Ride and Campout. An estimated seven to eight thousand spectators were present at the event Saturday night.
According to authorities the incident began as a disagreement between two individuals. Eye witnesses told deputies that the attacker and the victim knew each other.
Sheriff Chris Kirk says the dispute had begun over a week ago, but the subject of the argument remains unclear.
No one is currently in custody, however, police do have a person of interest and the investigation is continuing.
