BRYAN ATTORNEY NEW TABC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

  

A Bryan attorney has been selected to head up the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Adrian Bentley Nettles has been selected as the new executive director of the TABC.

Nettles was tapped to clean up the embattled agency after a series of controversies and high-level departures at the commission.

Nettles, a decorated military officer with a law practice in Bryan, was appointed during a closed door meeting of the TABC commissioners Tuesday afternoon.

Nettles will replace Sherry Cook, who announced she would step down from the executive director role in April.
