CALDWELL SCHOOL BOARD HEARS REPORT ON ELEMENTARY HVAC

  

Problems with the HVAC systems in the Caldwell Elementary and Intermediate schools may have been solved.

At the latest school board meeting, Director of Maintenance Brady Beavers presented the board with a list of recommendations for the elementary campus.

Among the advice from the firm, Delta T of Houston:

*Replace the gravity dampers.

*Perform season cleaning and install a sheet metal door to the air intake.

*Seal open ductwork and pipe penetrations.

*And hire Delta T to perform test and balance services and hire a company to correct any additional deficiencies.

Beavers says the $48,000 the district paid Delta T was well worth it and recommended hiring the company to perform the same study of the intermediate school.

The board approved the recommendation.
