WALLER CO. FAIR KICKS OFF WITH PARADE, QUEEN CROWNING, AND DANCE

  

The Waller County Fair officially kicked off this past weekend with a parade, queen’s crowning and dance.

Rilee Hall was crowned queen of the 2017 Waller County Fair Saturday night.  Mia Lopez was announced as Princess, and Alexandria Schmidt as Dutchess.  The fourth runner up was Erin Landox, and Molly Palliwoda was fifth runner-up.

In the Waller County Fair Little Miss and Mister contest, Catalea Flor Castro was named Little Miss, and Stetson Ware was named Little Mister.  In the Ag Mechanics Show judging, the group winner and Grand Champion went to Dalton Wells and Wyatt Pershall for their trailer.  Alexandria Schmidt was the individual winner for her barbecue pit.  The corn hole champions were Tyler Roesner and Zack Russell.

The Waller County Fair gets into full swing this week with livestock judging and more entertainment at the fairgrounds in Hempstead.  Thursday night features Rick Trevino, Friday night Sundance Head, and Saturday night Josh Ward.
