DURRNEBURGER HOSTS KICKOFF EVENT
A large crowd of friends and supporters of John Durrenberger joined him to celebrate the kickoff of his campaign for Washington County Judge Thursday night.

Speaking Thursday night at the historic Ant Street Inn in downtown Brenham, Durrenberger told the crowd that he believes in taking care of his employees first. Durrenberger said he owned and operated his own businesses for 20 years before joining Mike Hopkins Distributing, and “knows what it takes to meet payroll”. He said, “My business experience has prepared me to manage the county budget and personnel, and has instilled in me sound business principle and an understanding of managing departments as a team.”
Durrenberger also told the audience that his is passionate about listening, open and honest communications, and working with all elected officials, department leaders, Burton and Brenham city officials, and community leaders throughout the county. He said civic and volunteer organizations and volunteer fire departments are all important to him, as he has been a member of many of them. Durrenberger concluded by saying he looks forward to the upcoming candidate forums, one on one visits and opportunities to visit with each voter.
Durrenberger will face current Washington County Judge John Brieden in the March 6th Republican Primary.
