BRENHAM POLICE MAKE TWO ARRESTS TUESDAY

  

A call for a fight in progress led to the warrant arrest of a Houston man Tuesday.  At 8:40 PM, Officer Alex Saenz responded to the 300 Block of North Austin Parkway in reference to a fight. Investigation revealed that Dillian James Sweed (19 of Houston) had an active warrant for his arrest for Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse Elderly out of Burleson County and had given Officers a false name.  Sweed was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for the warrant and Failure to Identify.

On Tuesday morning, Corporal Ashley Burns conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of S Blue Bell Road and E Stone Street. Investigation revealed the driver, Harris Siddiqui (20 of Spring) was found to have a suspended driver’s license and had a previous conviction for driving while license invalid. Siddiqui was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
