LONGTIME AGGIE DONORS SUING “12TH MAN FOUNDATION”

More than a dozen longtime Aggie donors claim the 12th Man Foundation broke a promise to some of its biggest supporters

Fifteen plaintiffs are suing the foundation, saying they solicited donations in the 70s, 80s and 90s, when attendance was low and donations were small, promising “Permanently Endowed Scholarship” owners that their payments would entitle them to the “best available” seating and parking locations - for life.

The group says when Texas A&M joined the SEC and Kyle Field was renovated, that commitment changed.

Attorneys claim the 12th Man Foundation reneged on its promises and resold the Permanently Endowed Scholarship owners’ parking and seat locations to the highest bidders.

A spokesperson for the 12th Man Foundation declined to comment.

  1. Permanent does have a set of expectations.

Did it read, “As long as the grass grows and the sun shines”? Some days the grass don’t grow and sun don’t shine! Promises and hearts were made to break. Hope they had it in writing with no escape clause.

    Gig. Them. Class of 76!
