KATY WOMAN CHARGED WITH LOCAL ASSAULT

A Katy woman is in custody after her arrest on an assault charge in Brenham.
Early Tuesday morning, around 1:15 Officer Eddie Martinez was dispatched to the 800 block of Matchett St. in reference to a robbery.
The caller said a woman entered her residence and assaulted her.
The suspect, 20-year old Keiaria Crawford of Katy, was located soon after by Martinez.
Crawford was arrested for Burglary of Habitation with intent to commit assault and transported to the Washington County Jail.
