W.C. SHERIFF’S DEPUTY TAKES F.B.I. TRAINING
Washington County Sheriff's Sergeant Clay Bosse recently attended a three day training class offered by the FBI which focused on the topic of Digital Imaging and Video Recovery.
According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, the class involved comprehensive techniques of video/surveillance and video extraction from residential and/or business security systems.
Bosse was instructed in the methods to produce video segments for distribution to the public, news outlets or other social media sources.
Hanak says this technology and training will enhance the ability of law enforcement to identify suspects as well as providing prosecutors with additional evidence and information.
Sheriff Hanak stated that as technology progresses almost daily, it is vital that law enforcement officers are provided with the opportunity to stay well-informed and ahead of those changes.
Sheriff Hanak thanked the FBI for providing these type training opportunities for local law enforcement jurisdictions.
